CAR Gardens will always seek to enrich our environments through both good design and responsible horticulture.
We believe that having a striking, modern looking outdoor space can go hand in hand with caring for our environment and future generations.
As a gardening business we aim to recognise our responsibilities to our environment, and especially the unique ecology of the Isle of Wight.
- We endeavour to employ the best working practices for our horticulture and construction.
- Where practical, we encourage the use of organic methods over chemicals.
- We can advise on plants and timbers that are from sustainable resources.
- We can advise on fencing that has not been chemically treated, and offer solutions for more natural boundaries.
- We can design and advise systems for effective water conservation in your garden, and advise on driveways that cause less of an impact on the environment.
- We will encourage the recycling of green waste and can advise on gardening organically.
Biodiversity - Gardening for wildlife. Designing an area of your garden to include plants and habitats that will attract beneficial insects, birds and small mammals can be very rewarding and doesn't have to look scruffy. The unique combinations of native and exotic plants in today’s gardens can provide a real haven for our native wildlife.
